Curriculum
Kidsville uses the IEYC Curriculum. The IEYC is an innovative research-based toolkit, recognizing global best-practice and the developmental needs of 2-5 year olds. It supports key areas of learning through holistic inquiry and play-based approaches encompassing all curriculum areas including personal, social and emotional development. It has 4 learning strands, and these are Independence and interdependence, Communicating, Inquiring and Healthy living and physical well being.
Teaching Plan related to Major
I was assigned to teach in Preschool, that is why I already observed their routines and how the teacher gives instructions.
On my teaching demonstration, the topic on that day was about Balloons, so I asked for a sample lesson plan to my CT, and she provided me one. The lesson plan served as a guide for me to create my own lesson plan. In my lesson plan, the routines in the classroom were all the same with their teacher, the only difference I made with my lesson plan was the circle time, and the activities.
